Specializing in helping children, adolescents, and families to overcome trauma and anxiety. Having overcome my own personal traumas, and dedicating my education and career to the helping profession, I strive to promote strengths and wellness for children and families. The mind-body-brain connection is approached to encourage healing of the whole self. As a child mental health specialist, I utilize a developmental framework to encourage age-appropriate processing of trauma events using play, art, and sand tray techniques for younger children. I am trained in evidenced-based practices: trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) for older children and adolescents. I offer individual, family, and couples counseling- as well as group programs, community-based training, and seminars.
